Some cute, home made baby stuff!

This past weekend this baby of ours got some presents! More presents!? That is what I was thinking! These were handmade presents from Aunt Jaclyn and Aunt Shannon. Handmade presents are the best.

Jaclyn has mastered the freezer paper stencil technique and decided to make us this awesome pillow!
So cute right?

She also made 7 onesies with the same freezer paper technique!  Here is a sneak peek of one:

MARIO! Isn't it awesome?!
To see the rest of the awesome little outfits you should head on over to her blog!
Check out all her beautiful paintings as well!

She also painted this beautiful owl
It fits perfectly in the room! The colours are amazing and I left the perfect spot for it to go!
She also got us the cutest owl frame! Thanks Aunt Jaclyn!!!

Shannon also surprised us with this beautiful handmade blanket! Isn't it beautiful?! I love the colours as well! The baby is going to love it for sure!
This one too
As well as a Sophie giraffe and some soothers! Thanks Aunt Shannon!

I can't wait for this baby to be here so he/she can see how loved they really are!

Baby DIY #5 - A Cute Little Owl

I had been searching Pinterest and Google for cute owl crafts for the nursery. I came across this cute owl pillow made of felt!!
The templates and tutorial were there, so I printed the templates out, traced them on my felt and cut them out. I also used buttons for the eyes. Lauren helped me!

Lauren did the eyes and I soon found out she is a super fast with a needle and thread...so she did most of it! Thanks Laur! xo

I did some though, here is proof...don't mind the heart covering my boobs...it's not my fault they are way bigger and popping out of all my tops..

Here is our guy ready to STUFF!

I did use the sewing machine to stitch around the owl. I used invisible thread. I just wanted it to be super secure...so the stuffing wouldn't come out!
Here is it on my hand before I stuffed it!
And here it is in the nursery
It turned out pretty cute if you ask me!
I might have to cool it with the owls now...it might be getting a little too over owled! hahahahhaha
Can you blame me though? Owls are soooo cute!
