The playroom: Halloween edition

I just realized I have not shown you the playroom! It is our favourite room in the house and also where we spend most of our time! I will dedicate an entire post to it after Halloween but thought I would show you the Halloween decor we have up so far!

We have our Halloween books out and a cute pumpkin garland up!

I don't know if I will add anymore or not. There really isn't much room for anymore...but if I see something I think will be cute in there I will get it for sure and add it there! I love Halloween! I will be showing you the house decor this week as well so stay tuned!

We are loving October so far..

Adalyn and I have been enjoying October so much already and it is just the first week! The weather has been AMAZING and we are getting outside each day for 45 min to an hour. There are so many dandelions and Adalyn has to pick them all! She also found the path through the corn the other day and basically ran down the entire thing. She was very excited! I think she would stay outside all day if I let her!

I have already had fun dressing her up in her Halloween outfits! She has actually not touched the headbands either! Here are a few pictures:

I have already decorated her playroom. Her favourite part are the pumpkin lanterns I got at Walmart for $1. She goes in there, looks at them..points and smiles. I will take some pictures and post about it next week! She said her version of "pumpkin" all day yesterday. I have it on video and Mike doesn't think that is what she is saying..but I know she is! :)

We also did our first Halloween craft! I got this idea from House of Burke. You tape contact paper down on the highchair tray (sticky side up) and they can stick things to it! Addy didn't know what to make of it at first. 

Then after I showed her what to do she got the hang of it and started sticking the Halloween shapes down. 

 After she was done she was trying so hard to get them off. 

 I took the tape off and put another piece of contact paper over top of it! Here is her masterpiece hanging in the playroom:

I hope you all enjoyed your first week of October as much as we did! There will be some changes over here soon. Next week we are starting to transition Adalyn into daycare. She will be going twice a week. I can't believe the time is already here and I will be back to work in a month! Wish us luck for an easy transition!!

Fall, fall, fall!

Guess what tomorrow is!? October 1st! Guess what that means!? It means it is now acceptable to decorate for Halloween! I am going to dig the bins out tonight! I am pretty excited about it!

I haven't blogged in a while! I haven't even showed you our fall decor for the year! It has been up since September 1st! I know what you are thinking, that is probably a little early..but I like to have it up for a month, and Halloween up for a month as well! Fall is my favourite season so it is always a little sad to see it packed up and away.

Here are a few shots from around the house of our fall decor...it was overcast and raining...so the pictures aren't the best quality! You will get the idea though!

10 months Favourites!

Well, my sweet baby is 10 months old today. I can't believe it! she is so sweet and funny..she makes us laugh every single day.  Here she is:

I could only get one picture in the bean bag chair..I think those days where I can get her to sit still are over. We had to go outside so I could get some good pics.

Here are some 10 month stats:

* She is now walking. EVERYWHERE. She doesn't really crawl anymore. She tries to squirm out of her car seat and ends up throwing up all the time, she screams when she is in the stroller. It is lots of fun!! ha She just doesn't want to be tied down..she wants to walk, walk, walk. She ended up walking in her ninth month, just like me!

* She has started to show no interest in her bottles. The morning and night ones are no problem but during the day she could care less. I don't know if it is because she would rather be walking or she would just rather real food. I just wish she ate a little more real food! She loves broccoli!

* She still has her little temper, I don't think that is going away anytime soon!

* She is still sleeping pretty much the same but her morning nap is starting to get shorter..the afternoon nap I have to wake her up!

* She loves to play on the couch, on pillows and can get off the couch no problem. She slides off on her belly. That's old news though. I think she was doing that last month.

* She loves to push her tricycle around. And ride it too!

* She loves our cats, loves to chase them. She says "at" for cat. Super cute. She loves Sadie, books, pulling hair, walking, pulling the books off the bookcase and any cell phone.

Here are a few of our favourites right now:

1- Addy loves this trike! One of her Gramma's friends from work gave it to her! She loves to push it around...and loves to ride it! Can't wait until she can ride it on her own!

2 - She was kind of over the puffs..you know, she's a big girl now...but we found cheddar flavour and she loves them!!

3 - She loves the Mega Blocks! These were also given to her Gramma from the same friend. She doesn't build with them just yet but loves to empty the bag!

4 -I got this chunky puzzle with my Pampers rewards points! She loves to take the pieces out and play with them!

5 -I think Mommy loves these boots more then Adalyn. They are from Joe Fresh and are super cute. They are perfect for my little walking girl!

6 - At the last baby group we went to with our friends there were kids eating these there. I thought I would give it a try and Addy loves them! She just takes cute little bites. The best part is they have veggies in them too!

She is getting so big, and we are starting to transition her into daycare next month :( You know what that mean...I'm going back to work soon....
