St. Patrick's Day Recap!

We had a fun St. Patrick's Day week over here! It was nice to have the week off to actually focus on it! We usually don't really celebrate it or decorate for it, but since my sister married Kev (who is from Ireland) I felt we had to do something! :) Here is a look back on our St. Patrick's Day week!

We got our green straws out!
We had lucky charms and green milk...Addy picked out the marshmallows and didn't eat the rest of the cereal..of course!
We played with some rice...I definitely used my Valentine's day rice and just added green stuff to it!
(She was obsessed with the necklaces!

We had lucky charm squares! Made the same way as Rice Krispie squares

We painted and made a few things
We made a hand print clover and a hand print leprechaun!

We had a rainbow fruit tray complete with clouds and a pot of gold!
 It quickly turned to this...
 We coloured some cute pictures

And used some fun stickers!

We had jello sensory play! I placed some St. Patrick's Day coins in some jello and she had to dig them out! She loved this....

She ended up eating a lot of it too...

we drank some green smoothies with our fun straws!

And we had a green St. Patrick's Day bath the day of!!

We had lots of fun! I am kind of sad to pack everything away! I love all the green around here! However, I am really excited to start on our Easter fun! Only a month away!! Yay!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I hope you've had a fabulous green filled weekend and day today! We have had a blast all week focusing on it! Lots of green and fun! I will post a recap later this week! As well as a 16 month update!

We usually don't decorate for St. Patrick's Day but since we have the playroom, and Adalyn's Uncle is Irish I thought we should do a little bit at least! There isn't too much to choose from when it comes to decorating for St. Patrick's Day but we got what we could! Here are a few pictures of the playroom!

The updated cork board. I used some cool tape to give it a new look!  I moved a few things around in the playroom and got rid of the gallery wall full of frames. You will see why in in a second! :) This was later full with some of Adalyn's art! (I took these weeks ago and never posted!)

This is why I moved the pin board! I had this owl hanger for a while and hadn't put it anywhere! I decided to put it where the cork board was and I am glad I made that decision! I love it! I didn't think we needed a gallery wall  as well as this so I took it down and put the cork board over there! I also got this bar and buckets from Ikea to hold chalk, the chalk brush and magnets! I love it!

We now have more a few more St. Patrick's Day books!

I just placed some cut outs around too!

And that's it! I love decorating the play room and am looking forward to the next holiday, Easter! It's only a month away...I better get decorating! :)

Valentine's Day Decor: Around the house

I don't decorate too much around the house for Valentine's day but I thought I would show you what I did this year!

In the kitchen I put out the pink place mats and hang heart garlands
 I decorated Addy's little eating area...so cute!
I think the mantle looked pretty similar last year...
Look at my babe last Valentine's Day! SO little! That hat still fits by the way!!
We moved the old pie safe into the living room so we could put Addy's table in the kitchen!!

And that's it! I don't get super crazy like at Christmas! But it is just enough!! Adalyn loves all the glitter and hearts!!

Valentine's Day Decor: Playroom Edition

Here are a few pictures of the Valentine's Day decor in the playroom!

I got all of the decorations at the dollar store and Target!
This little bag holds her pretty Valentine's Day bracelets and necklaces!
 Our gallery wall
Have I showed you the tent my sister and her husband got Addy?! Cute right?!
The love pillow and carpet were cute, I thought!
Our Valentine's Day books...hardly any board books! She can only read these ones with Mama!

So I took her year of friends down and am going to post her art on this board! I also painted the chalkboard with magnetic paint and still have yet to paint the chalkboard over top..she loves the magnets!

So there you go! She loves all the pretty decorations and I have fun decorating too! Holidays are so much more fun with kiddies!!
