A random post

I sure haven't blogged in a while! I am still not competly 100% myself yet..I am working on it! I am much better and I really think I need days like today. (I had a PD day and had the day off) I had a great day. I got to work out and sit in the sunshine...and complete my first project in ages!!!

Last week I went thrifting with my sister and picked up this little guy for $5.99

 I decided on white (of course) and went to town. I had a little incident with the door, meaning it came out and couldn't get it back in. I took the other one out and painted away. I decided on baskets to put inside instead of the doors and this is what I came up with.....

 I have come to the conclusion that I don't really like it...hahahahah So I am going to try as hard as I can to get the doors back on. They are sliding doors on a track so I don't know how successful that will be! hahah

On another note, I am thrifting with my fave ladies tomorrow!! sisterface and my cousin TS We are always ridiculous when we get together

Some vintage floral!!

Remember the old stool I bought a while ago...the orange one?

 Then I covered it in burlap?

 See the corner there? The kitties liked that corner...

 I thought I better recover that before I went insane! So I grabbed some of the vintage floral fabric that Sherry's mom gave me and recovered it!

 Love it! So while I was recovering that, I thought about recovering this

I grabbed a piece of material and my spray glue and went to town

 I love how it is bright and colourful but also could pass as a piece of art!!

Love it! I have decided to go wild in my craft room! I think that is the one room in the house that can be different from all the rest!! So you might see some crazy colours and patterns coming up!

Room Switch!

This was the empty "storage" room before we moved in. It is just the 2 of us in the house so these rooms weren't used.

  After a fresh coat of paint, it soon became this:

 messy, messy craft room!

The other side of the room looked like this:

 After the same colour of paint it became my yoga/workout room/storage

 The floor in the craft room is slanting a little and the table wouldn't sit flat against the wall. So I decided to switch rooms, and put the craft room where the workout room was....

love it!

I think it looks even better on this side! It is also bigger, so that is a bonus!

It was a lot of work, but I am glad I did it!!

My old rocker, stained.

I haven't completed any crafts as of late. I am in a little bit of a rut I guess you would say. I have folders FULL of ideas, but just would rather sit and do nothing. I am very busy during the week and feel like I'm moving 100 miles a minute!! So when I do have a night or day free for myself, all I want to do is sit and relax because I can't do that at all during the week!! What a cycle!! 

Mom and dad conviced me to stain the old chair I got at Value village, and I am so glad I did!

It is very dark but I love it!!! And did you notice those beautiful flowers? My amazing boyfriend picked those up for me....just because!! I have had a pretty rough week and haven't been myself. I have been kind of "down"....I am not really sure why, but I feel better already!!!

So, this weekend I have plans to make a few things, and change my craft room around, to the other side where my yoga room is....it will be a lot of work to move everything but I can't wait!!!! I just want the weekend to come already!!!!

Ben

 Last night Ben was sick in the porch, so we let him out and cleaned up the mess. He never came back. I called and whistled, but nothing. I went out with a flashlight and there he was, on the lawn. Just like that. We didn't even get to say goodbye.  He would have been 13 in a couple of weeks.

I was never a dog person, until we moved in and inherited him with the house. I didn't like him at first. He was an old grumpy, sketchy dog but that soon changed. He was the best dog I have ever had, and probably will ever have again. So smart, and easy. Not a hassle at all. My bestie!! It was a great 3 years with him we will definitely miss him around here! (me the most!)

My Easter Weekend

I think I have to change the colour of that chalk board...It blends right in!

I haven't posted in a while! Yikes. I have been busy with other things, and have not had  much time to craft or even put my Easter stuff out. Not like I had a lot or anything, but I had plans to make a few things. It didn't really work out. I was very busy this weekend and had a lot of fun!

Friday I spent some of the day with my family. I hung out with my parents and sister, and saw gram. Mom and dad got me wayyyy to much for Easter, as usual! I got some chocolate treats and this cute bunny and bird,

 For dinner we went to Mike's parents house. Gramma was up! So we visited with her and dyed some eggs!

 I got all the ladies in my life these plants for Easter!

 I put them in the cutest felt baskets! It is definitely an idea for next year!!!

Saturday Sister and I went thrifting. 

 We were pretty lucky and found a lot of cute stuff

 I got that basket, lantern, christmas ball candle holder and glass thingy.  Also:

pj capris pants at the back, a yellow tube top, the black shirt at the front, a hot bag, pattern for cute shirts and some beaded necklaces! It was a successful trip! After that was Easter at our Grams

 It was a very quiet Easter. Usually this table is packed!! Always decorated so nicely gramma!

We had so much dessert it was crazy! haha. I was so full when I got home! But I had a great time.

 Sunday was Easter at Mike's mom and dads. 

Look at our treats! ooooh. Again, I was very full when I left but I had a great time!! 

It was a great Easter! I always love when I get to go to holidays at my grammas and Mike's mom and dads! It doesn't happen very often!

 Now I have one more day off to relax? hahh. And get back on track eating wise. I hope you all had a great Easter weekend!
