Adalyn's Easter Basket!

I was excited to buy things for Adalyn's Easter basket waaaay before Easter! I think this was all bought before February and has been sitting in a bag until I bought the basket a couple weeks ago!  Here is what I got the little miss for Easter:

You can't see everything in the basket so here are the details!

1/2/3/4/5
I got her some wood teethers because she is starting I think! She is drooling, putting everything in her mouth and has rosey cheeks! I might be wrong...but she will like chewing on them either way!

I love it all!  I hope she does too! She is one lucky girl! I can't wait to give it to her this weekend!

Another Easter Onesie!

I was walking in the drugstore when I came across these gold eggs!
You know I am loving everything gold right now...so I picked them up. Then I had an idea! A gold Easter egg onesie!!!!!! I used the freezer paper stencil method and went to town.

I used a punch to make the little circles for the middle of the egg
and painted away!
here is the end result...
(I always love peeling away the paper!)
And here is the little miss in it!
( I definitely painted the other set of bunny ears I had gold! And an old bow too!)
What do you think?! I think it turned out pretty darn good! I am loving everything gold right now...gah...I just want to paint every onesie she has...hahahahah

4 month Favourites!

Where has the time gone?! How can my baby be four months old already?! She is growing way too fast! I am loving all the changes though...in one month you wouldn't believe the changes! Here is my little monkey:
Look at the bottom picture! She is sitting! I took her to a mom and baby class earlier this week and we were playing with a big parachute. I looked down and Addy was sitting ALL BY HERSELF! She wasn't leaning on me or anything. I couldn't believe it and was very proud!

4 month stats:

*She is talking talking talking!!! All the time! Some of the noises she makes are crazy!
*She loves her Jumperoo! We haven't really tried the Jolly Jumper yet but we will soon!
*She likes to sit between us at dinner and watch us eat EVERYTHING! She is very curious about food!
*She is now sitting on her own for short periods of time! She just started two days before turning 4 months!
*She is now sleeping in her crib! (still 9-6 or longer)
*She loves mommy and daddy! She has started to play shy a little bit.....

Here are some of our four month favourites we couldn't live without! (We still use all of the three month favourites daily!)

1/2/3/4/5/6

1. Our stroller! We have been going out a lot more so this has come in handy! And I'm sure because the weather is getting nicer we will soon be out all the time walking! I can't wait for spring!
2. Her Lamaze pony she got from my cousin's family! She loves it! It makes real horse noises...she might make out with it a little...hahahahah
3. The Jumperoo! She has been sitting in it for a little bit now but really starting to move it! It is fun to watch!
4. Her sleep bag. We don't have this exact one, but she was coming out of her Velcro swaddle bag every night so we had to get something with a zipper she couldn't get out of!
5. Bibs! Man, she drools a lot! She soaks through a zillion bibs a day! I am glad we have lots of bibs! These teething bibs are awesome (from Carter's)! They don't soak through! They are not the best for spit ups though!
6. The mobile I made! (I will have to show you soon!) If she is upset or crying, you just move the mobile       around and she is mesmerized!

It is amazing to watch her grow and learn! I love being a mama!!!

 1/2/3/4/5/6/7

How cute is some of this stuff?! We usually don't really celebrate or decorate for St. Patrick's Day but I did end up buying a few cute little things for the babe's "First St. Patrick's Day" photo!! I might have also made her something to wear! I will show you later in the week!

Project Life

Hi! Have you heard of Project Life!? I'm sure most of you have! I found out about it online and fell in love. Then I ordered some supplies! It "easy" scrapbooking! I say easy because you don't have to cut a single thing! How awesome is that!? Here is the idea:

You order a album, photo pages and a core kit!
And then you literally print out your photos, place them in the sleeve and journal! It is so easy and addicting! (I ordered the baby kit for Adalyn and the amber kit for our every day!) I am also loving the new kits that are coming in June! Lovelovelove the midnight one!

Here is the baby kit
Each month there are cards to fill out... like age, weight and favourites! With a monthly number card!

Here is the Amber kit
For our every day life book I am doing a page per week. I have then added some baseball card insert sheets for all my journaling! There are TONS of free filler cards for different occasions and just every day quotes! You can find some on my Pinterest Page under Project Life!

Here are some example pages other people have done (from the Project Life website):
pages by Elana Geyrozaga
  pages by Marianne Grasso

I love the fact that you actually print out all the pictures you take, instead of keeping them on the computer! The only issue with Project Life is that the shipping is insane to Canada! It would be a good idea to share the shipping cost with a friend if you can!

I am thinking of adding my project life page every week...what do you think about that!? It would give me motivation to keep up with it and I could show you what we did each week! I will see how it goes! I am still working on catching up our weekly one! I will show you some from Adalyn's book soon! It is all caught up!

Soothies Clips

I found some cute soother clips online but thought I would give it a try making them first. I am glad I did! They are super easy and you can make them in any ribbon! The possibilities are endless! hahahah I went to the fabric store for ribbon instead of the dollar store. I thought better quality would be better. I was glad I did!

Here is what you need:
(and also a thin ribbon to hold the soothie on!)

I attached the clip part first...make sure you fold your ribbon so you don't get any frayed ends! Just sew right across
For the other end cut a tiny hole in the fabric like so...don't mind my dry hands!
Loop your ribbon through the hole (making sure the loop is out and the ends will be on the inside.
Pin it down and sew! (I used my zig zag scissors so the end of the ribbon wouldn't fray!)
put the ribbon through the hole of the soothie
and pull the strap through the loop.
There you go, super easy!!! Mine turned out really well....Next time I would fold the ribbon in half so there wasn't a "blank" side of the ribbon. It flips all the time and you don't see the animal print! That would be the only changes I would make! They are super cute!
