Valentine's Day Decor: Around the house

I don't decorate too much around the house for Valentine's day but I thought I would show you what I did this year!

In the kitchen I put out the pink place mats and hang heart garlands

 I decorated Addy's little eating area...so cute!

 I think the mantle looked pretty similar last year...

 Look at my babe last Valentine's Day! SO little! That hat still fits by the way!!

We moved the old pie safe into the living room so we could put Addy's table in the kitchen!!

And that's it! I don't get super crazy like at Christmas! But it is just enough!! Adalyn loves all the glitter and hearts!!

Valentine's Day Decor: Playroom Edition

Here are a few pictures of the Valentine's Day decor in the playroom!

 I got all of the decorations at the dollar store and Target!

 This little bag holds her pretty Valentine's Day bracelets and necklaces!

 Have I showed you the tent my sister and her husband got Addy?! Cute right?!

 The love pillow and carpet were cute, I thought!

 Our Valentine's Day books...hardly any board books! She can only read these ones with Mama!

 So I took her year of friends down and am going to post her art on this board! I also painted the chalkboard with magnetic paint and still have yet to paint the chalkboard over top..she loves the magnets!

So there you go! She loves all the pretty decorations and I have fun decorating too! Holidays are so much more fun with kiddies!!

Christmas Decor 2013

I thought I would post a few photos of my Christmas decor this year! I have changed up the tree colours and added red. Last year my tree colours were brown, green, white and gold. Here are a couple photos:

As much as I loved it I was ready for a change and decided on classic red. I bought a bunch of red ornaments at the end of the season for super cheap so I only had to buy a few new ones this year!

I love the poinsettias! They were 3 for $9.99 at Sobeys! They are the perfect size!

I lovelovelove Christmas and all the decorations. I wish I could keep it up all year long! There is something special about the twinkling lights at night. Ugh, I love it. Adalyn loves it just as much!

She says "oooh" points to the tree and loves the Santa ornament I put on! I had to! It is a joke with Mike's family but Addy loves it. She says "hohoho" It is so cute!

Anyway, hope you liked my decor this year! I will post Adalyn's room decor sometime this week!

Halloween Mantle

I still haven't posted about our Halloween decor. I figured I better do it since Halloween is almost over. I still can't believe it. We don't really have that many decorations, but I always like to decorate the mantle in the living room.

Here are a few decorations around the house:

 We have had fun with the holidays buying chair covers for the highchair! Remember our Easter bunny chair cover?! They are all from the dollarstore. This one is actually a costume. I thought it would be cute. I did buy an actual chair cover but she got it a little messy...I threw it in the wash and all the pieces came off. hahah.

I'm loving the black pumpkins I bought this year!! Fun! I think it looks similar to last years though!

Soon I will be taking these down and putting birthday decorations up! I can't believe my booboo with be one year old! *sigh* I am excited for her party though!

The playroom: Halloween edition

I just realized I have not shown you the playroom! It is our favourite room in the house and also where we spend most of our time! I will dedicate an entire post to it after Halloween but thought I would show you the Halloween decor we have up so far!

We have our Halloween books out and a cute pumpkin garland up!

I don't know if I will add anymore or not. There really isn't much room for anymore...but if I see something I think will be cute in there I will get it for sure and add it there! I love Halloween! I will be showing you the house decor this week as well so stay tuned!

Fall, fall, fall!

Guess what tomorrow is!? October 1st! Guess what that means!? It means it is now acceptable to decorate for Halloween! I am going to dig the bins out tonight! I am pretty excited about it!

I haven't blogged in a while! I haven't even showed you our fall decor for the year! It has been up since September 1st! I know what you are thinking, that is probably a little early..but I like to have it up for a month, and Halloween up for a month as well! Fall is my favourite season so it is always a little sad to see it packed up and away.
