UPDATE: Fixed the Spring Wreath!

So you know how I thought there was something missing from the wreath? I thought it was too thin?! Well, I added another wreath to the centre and it is perfect now! So here is the wreath before:
and here it is after! Love it!
It looks so much better!!
I took the bow off and used it to tie the grapevine wreath to the big wreath.
PERFECT! I'm in love!
Have a great work week everyone!

My First Spring Wreath

Today I am feeling sick and was bored. I decided to make a spring wreath. I used this old form I had...I wish it were thicker though. But anyway, I wrapped it with a green fabric to have something to glue the moss to.
Then I hot glued the moss to the fabric.
I bought 3 of these at the dollarstore and took them apart and glued them on too!
I also added some of these flowery things, a bird and some scrabble letters from my collection.
And voila

It turned out way better then last years spring wreath, but I still with it were thicker! Maybe I will add a grapevine wreath in the middle of it or something!

I will be linking up to the following parties:

Countdown to Spring Party @ Domestically Speaking

UPDATE: I did fix the spring wreath! I tied a grapevine wreath in the centre with the ribbon that was on the original wreath. It now looks like this:

LOVE IT!

3 cute crafts

Day two of March Break! Yesterday mom and dad came over for a visit and help me set up a few things! (Thanks again!), and I went out for dinner with my old roomate...which was lovely!! Tonight I have a dinner and movie date with Renai as well!! This will be my first Sushi experience! hahahaha

This morning I woke up and decided to make a few things. These...
Today I am getting together with a couple of friends and we are having a doggy date! Sadie will love it! I remembered the flower I made her in the summer for her collar broke...so I thought I should make a new one, with a few updates!! I cut a little hole in a piece of ribbon and stuck the flower in, tied a knot and glued it in place.

Then I cut the end off. I also decided to glue the petals together this time, because the wind blew them up all the time. I hot glued them together, but then you could see the glue marks through the white flower. So I had to add glitter! hhahahah. I used white glue and a paint brush!
It turned out really pretty!
Then after I saw that, I thought to myself "why can't I make one for myself?" So I did! Of course I won't wear it when she is wearing hers....that is just weird. hahahahah. I just took the flower backing off and glued it to a headband with hot glue.
I also added glitter.
I still had the headbands out, and made another headband. BUTTONS! I stuck to browns and tans...and glued them to the band with the hot glue.
It turned out really cute too.

So that's it!
Also, the reading nook had some changes yesterday...the whole hall did actually...and my room...so I will post those soon too!

I am going to link these projects to the following blog parties

My first pant alteration and a little sneak peek!

Today I altered my pants! Jeans actually. I have lost 15lbs since January 1st! I have been a little bit of a rut as of late and haven't lost any in a while...but I think that will change this week! I am off for March Break and will be focusing on working out and getting back on track! (Got that sister?!) So anyway, I have lost 15lbs and can't even wear this one pair of jeans anymore...I can pull them right off without undoing them! They are pretty worn in spots, so I will need to get a new pair eventually, but thought I would take them in for now. I cut them too....so if I gain any weight back, they won't fit! But I don't think that will happen anytime soon! As I took them in, I also took them in at the knee and made them more bell bottoms. I have really wanted a pair since I saw that Old Navy commercial! (Even though I knew I wouldn't look as good in them as the girl in the commercial hahahh) I got the tutorial at the new blog I follow Cotton and Curls! This girl is amazing and alters and makes amazing clothes!! This is her tutorial and was very helpful! I totally forgot to take a before picture. I wish I did! But here are the jeans now.
cute right? And as I was taking pictures I didn't even realize you could see into the hall! So there is my sneak peek of the reading nook in the hall...the start of it anyway!
You will have to wait for that! It should be done by the end of the week!
Anyway, I am in love with my new pair of jeans! Now I am on the hunt to see what else I can transform!

Hi friends!! Wow, I haven't blogged in a while. I think that is about to change though because....
a) I have a new project I am working on which I will show you in a minute. (And I am excited about)
b) I have March Break coming up in two weeks and don't have to work..even at my other job!!
c) I don't have the winter "blahs" anymore!! Maybe it is all this sunshine!

So anyway, I have a project on the go...slowly....as I am trying to save for the wedding!! It is the upstairs hallway! I want to make a little reading nook! Here was the hallway when we moved in.
And here is the hallway after we painted it
Unfortunately we are not getting rid of the lovely orange and gold carpet. It's not a big deal to me anyway!
It's not a big area, so I basically want a chair and book shelf. There are already chocolate brown curtains there right now. I forgot to take a picture of how the hall was until the other day. I had a table in front of the window...it looked nice...but I bought a black cube bookcase and this was the only place I could find room for it. So i thought to myself..."Why not make a reading nook?!" I can see a big white comfty chair in the corner! Can't you?! Anyway, I will update you on the progress and as I add things to the space! I am excited!!

And I promise to blog more often now!!
