My Weekend slash Vtine's Day Decor!

I picked up some stuff on friday at this new liquidation place! Well, I hadn't heard of it before until a flyer appeared in the paper so I don't know if it was new! Anyway...I picked up

 

This basket and 3 brand new patterns for .99 each! Also
 

This pottery barn book, and something for my sister! (so I can't show you!)

Anyway,  not a bad place. It will probably be a hit and miss kind of thing!

So beautiful! I want spring to come very badly. I am in that dark gloomy winter mood. Do you get that?!

I also tried my take at the burlap wreath. Oh. DISASTER!
 

(only because the form I used wasn't as strong so it bends and is not a complete circle. hahahahah I will try again though, because I like the look of it! I will let you know how that goes!)

My college roomate came up for a visit in the country yesterday!

 

We went skating, played some wii, watched a little Dexter and had dinner. It was very nice. We should do it way more often!

Well, I guess now I was show you my little Valentine's Day corner
 

It's not much, but I never ever decorate for Valentine's Day. There are still so many projects I have book marked, but it looks as though my time is running out!!
 

I wrapped the wreath that was already there with ribbon

Filled my beautiful jars with candy. How do you like the big one? Ma and Pa got that for me! Love! I also recall there being more candy in those jars.......Michael....
 

And just some painted candle sticks. (I have to light those candles!)

Oh p.s My sewing class was just fine. There were 6 of us in total and everyone was very nice! Nothing to worry about of course. I will have to show you my pj pants I finish!!

My new finds

I had $15 left on my winners giftcard from Mike's family from Christmas and picked up these 2 beauties!

My first sewing class starts in less then an hour and I am getting really nervous.

I am really shy. ahhhh. I know as soon as I get there it will be fine. But until then....I will be acting like a little kid. (I'm 25 now, I thought this shyness would pass by now!)

I will let you all know how it went sometime this weekend (and finally show you the Valentine's Day decor I am very unhappy with!) hhahahah

A little late with Organizing

So I am a little late with organizing! January is known for organizing and sorting things out. I am a little behind, but better late then never right?! ha

It all started with this cupboard. I opened it, and stuff was falling out all over the counter! Ah. I was so ticked off. 

So I headed to the dollarstore for some baskets. (and was very excited to organize it) and now it looks like this

 

So much better! I don't know why it took me that long to organize this cupboard!!! That didn't stop me though! When I was cleaning the craft room I noticed these boxes
 

They look nice and organized but it was a different story when you opened them!
 

Stuff was just shoved in! So again I headed to the dollarstore and got 6 little boxes and labels and went to town
 

Now everything has a spot and the bigger boxes are empty!!

I was brushing my teeth and my bathroom drawer is the worst.
 

Oh man! Stuff was all over the place, jewellry was tied together. It was awful!

You know what I am going to say now....I went to the dollarstore...hah

 

I feel so much better with this all organized. Also, I have another organizing tip. I bought one of these baskets:
 

And keep all the stuff I need in it. I keep all my makeup in my makeup bag, so I can just store this right under the sink. Or if I am going away I can just grab the makeup bag out of the basket. It is great!

 Now I am on the lookout around the house to see where else I can organize!!!! Does anyone want me to come over and organize anything for them? hahahahah

My new table!

I bought myself a treat today. I found this to be very exciting. hahahha I can hear my sister laughing right now and saying..."oh Ashley, you are so old and lame" yea K?! hahahah Anyway I bought a much needed craft table. It was on sale for $25 off the regular price!

 

I took it out of the package and someone was having fun with all the plastic
 

Anyway, I brought it over to my craft room and saw this:
 

  

  

A small tornado had gone through the room! hahah All I wanted to do was to switch tables, but I had to clean up first! (which was probably a good thing) So as you can see...that was my small craft table up above. Mini! It is actually a really cute table. I am going to use it as my potting table outside this summer!

 

So I cleaned up, and put the new table up
 

  

The new table is huge!  I put the table cloth back on, because it is not the prettiest table. Does anyone have any solutions to making it look a little nicer? I was thinking of getting (or sewing! yay!) A bigger cover that went down to the floor so I could store stuff under there! I still havent found a spot for all my new treasures.

 

They are stashed away in the corner.

Anyway, I am in love with this new table. It will definitely come in handy!

No more sewing at the kitchen table, or painting things on the floor!! yay!

I am back!

Hello blogging friends! Sorry I have been a little M.I.A! Things have been a little crazy around here, and I just feel as though I am moving 100 miles a minute!

First off I got a library card. I don't know why it took me 2.5 years to get one, but I am so glad I did. I have been reading like crazy and feel I will be a hippie by the summer. Everyone is telling me to stop reading, because soon I will stop eating everything. hahaha

I also have been spending lots of time with my little fluff ball! He is so cuddly. I just love him

 

I also love to watch the kitties play and interact. There is still some hissing going on, but not as much!
 

Look how big he is! He is 3.5 months. and Hazel will be 3 years this year. She is soooo small!

  

I have also been sewing! I start my first sewing class this Thursday. I am excited but also nervous! (I am really shy!) I have been sewing little things and getting used to my machine so I am not completly clueless!
 

I made this apron! I think I am going to add a pocket. What colour do you think? The same as the pattern or black like the ties?

Today was famjam day at the Scotts. My aunt and uncles birthdays are this month and we all went over.

Other then that, another work week is starting tomorrow. I will be posting sometime this week with all the stuff I have done this weekend, as well as Valentine's Day decor. I will also let you know how my first sewing class went! It will be a busy week, but these classes will be worth it!

Sick sick sick! (And my first Valentine)

First things first, I am sick! sicksicksicksick! I have a nasty cold. My head hurts and feels heavy, I have been unbalanced, my nose is running. ew I hate being sick. I took the day off today because I felt so yucky. Guess who was cuddling with me the whole time?

Little puffball! I am feeling better now, so hopefully I will return to work tomorrow.

When I was supposed to be laying on the couch I decided to make something I saw for Valentine's Day

 I found this at Room to Inspire and fell in love!

 

So I found this frame I got for .20 at Zellers

Took the people off and painted the board black

I cut out a red heart of cardstock and got my supplies ready

And glued them on.

All done! How do you like it? I have never decorated for Valentine's Day before, but there are so many cute projects in blogland, I think I just might have to start!!
