I finally made the doormat that was on my to-do list. I started with this $6.88 mat from Walmart
I started taping a border down
I overlapped the tape and decided to cut out the overlapping piece instead of trying to make 2 straight rectangles.
I printed out a "P" from the computer. (Do you think I am jinxing it...because I'm not a "P" Yet???..I am still Ms."M".... but the wedding will be soon...a little over a month..hahah)
I cut it out and traced it on contact paper
Then I cut that out, along with some circles and stuck them on the mat.
The contact paper didn't stick the best...so there is some black that sprayed under the letter.
But I lovelovelove it! I placed it outside.
Here are some more shots of the deck
My Aunt and Uncle gave us this cool box
I also painted table and chairs this year...here is the before
and here it is now..looks so much better!
I got this set at Ikea for $50 a couple of years ago.
What do you think of my $6.88 monogram mat?
I am linking up to the following parties

ReplyDeleteThat is so nice! Unfortunately I already bought 2 different kind of doormats a few weeks ago :( But well.... maybe I still can do something with them like you did. Thanks for sharing this idea!
