A cute little wreath

Hey! I had a few minutes tonight and thought I would show you what I made. A cute little wreath.

I started off with this wreath I got at a thrift store for .50

and 4 bunches of these sticks from the dollarstore.

I painted the wreath red and added the sticks.

I used plain white ribbon to hang it.

 

 

and that's all she wrote.

p.s $338 later, my car is alllll fixed.

What a weekend!

Well, I had a lovely weekend until the end of course! I will explain later!

I had a great time when we went to see Kayla! The drive was long, but at least Tor was with me!

 

We went shopping and thrifting, out for breakfast and dinner! I found some great stuff at the few thrift stores we went to.

So we left, and drove to the corner to meet Aunt Li.

She same, picked Tor up and left. I went to leave, turned the key and NOTHING.

It didn't even turn over! Ah. At least I was only 5 minutes from home and Mike could come get me. Today we used dad's CAA and towed it to the shop. They think its the starter! So, Merry Christmas to me! What a week it has been!

We finally got all the Christmas stuff out, I will post pictures sometime this week. (hopefully) I have so much to do before the Open House ahhhhh

I also made something today, little...and am working on other things as well.

I got this cute bowl at the dollarstore

and I had this wood base from a wine carafe

It came off and I couldn't get it to stay back on.

Anyway, I just made this

Well, my sister made this new header for me! She didn't think I would really make the other one my header. And then she said my head looked squished and stuff, so she made this one instead! Thanks K! I love it!

So, I am cleaning up and getting the new craft room oragnaized. I am trying to get rid of clutter and have even made a big box up for goodwill. Anyway...

I had this table. I originally got it to scrapbook but soon found out it wasn't big enough. I forget how much it was.

I painted the top, and used the fabric aunt Li gave me to make a little skirt. (with velcro)

(sorry about the wrinkles, I don't have an iron! I bet some of you are gasping in your chairs) 

So now I can hide all my stuff behind a curtain

Anyway I am very happy with it. I might even add some brown ribbon along the top!

(and unfortunately the carpet has to stay!)

It's beginning to look a little like Christmas.....

I have started a few little things around the house for Christmas. It is coming up so soon! And I want to have the house all decorated for our open house (which is coming up waaaay too fast as well!) I was very busy today and thought I would share a couple projects....

I decorated the urns at the front of our house. The dead mums were not very inviting! hah I also put up the huge wreath I made, and attached it really well

 I think they turned out pretty good!

I still wouldn't mind going for a walk out back and picking up more treasures to add

I also made something else. I got those little urn candles from Aunt Li, but had something else in mind

Add a base from Michael's, a little paint and...

taa daa. Cute, and all ready for Christmas!!

The new craft room is painted and I hope to post the reveal sometime this week! There are a few things that need to be finished first!

My lack of blogging!

I haven't been blogging as much I would like! So much is going on, and I can't seem to finish everything I want!

I did finish this though. I picked up this candle base and this tray, both for .99

painted them, and attached

to make a cute little tray!

Other then that, I am getting the house ready for the family party the 6th of December! Ah. There is so much to do, and time is running out!

I am getting ready to paint it (and this piece here) This was holding a bunch of clothes but I decided it needed to come down and help hold alllll of my stuff! hahahahah

So where did all that stuff go? oooooooh just next door to the yoga/workout room

(the treadmill is in the living room!) hahahaha it is packed! All this has to be sorted out before I get the christmas stuff out! And I just don't seem to have enough time to do any of it!

I am really excited about christmas though! Today I bought brown balls for the tree

(also that tree at a thrift store for .99)

I think I am adding brown, and taking out the burgundy.

My new header

My sister made this new header for me! And I love it!

Thanks K! She is my best friend, and she introduced me to thrifting so I owe her big time!

She is very creative- both in her clothes and stuff for her room. She always finds the best stuff at thrift stores!

I love this picture heart in her room!

She is at school right now, so I hardley see her which sucks.

But I will soon, I'm sure!
