I realized recently you guys hadn't seen all of the transformations in our house. Some of them aren't big, and some of them you haven't seen because of aspects I don't like in the room....but I think that is ridiculous and you should see them anyway! I do have to keep telling myself I am 25 years old, I am not made of money and we are renting this place. (We are renting it from family, so we pretty much can do what we like to it as long as it's not too crazy!)
So here's the hallway!
This is what it looked like when we moved in. Lots of pattern going on with the carpet and the wallpaper!
We primed everything, and took out the carpet.
This is the only shot I have of the old front door, and you can't really see it with the pull down curtain. The front door was sealed shut, so we got a new door for safety reasons.
Under the carpet there was painted wood, so we gave that a fresh coat of paint, picked the wall colour and got a runner for down the hall.
And voila.
That door goes to the basement. I have a curtain in that doorway because there was an old accordion door.
I have my old $5 coatrack right by the beautiful new front door.
I just made a new one from a piece of wood and hooks from the dollarstore. We use it all the time so I am glad we decided to keep it.
I love how the hall turned out. The sign says it all!
I still have to show you the bathroom and the upstairs hallway. I think you have seen everything else!
I love how it turned out too! 25! I wish I could of done this at 25, I don't really think I cared or had any interest in decorating. What a great house your renting, and the freedom to do what you want ....(Don't tell the owner, but it is a good place to practice for your own place) That door is wonderful (I hope the owner paid for that) the floors and oh, I can see how those coatl hooks would be the best part!
