Make it Monday : Chocolate Hearts

I have had this image saved for a while now....
Well, I decided to try it out last week and they turned out pretty good.

trace your shape out on parchment paper
flip it over...and got to town with your melted chocolate...
I used semi sweet chocolate chips and spooned the chocolate in a baggy. I then cut the corner off the baggy
 I made different designs..
Here is the finished product:
 yum

I'll give you a tip though..make sure the hole is big enough...you don't want it too big..but you don't want it too small either. Some of mine were too thin to even come off the paper.. also..the ones with straight lines didn't turn out for me..they all broke off! Hope that helps!

Thursday's Tips and Tricks : Paint Chip Organization

This is such a good idea. Keep all your paint chips in one place with binder rings! Just use your hole puncher and keep all the swatches organized!

 found HERE

Or, if you like to use Behr paint..they have Do-it-Yourself swatches in their display already! They provide little plastic rings and holes on their paint chips you can punch out!

Image found HERE

I have seen them in the Home Depot here! Either way it is a great way to organize your paint chips!

Make it Monday : Cute Earrings

A couple weekends ago I made some really cute earrings. They were easy to make, and also cheap. I love cheap! here is what you need:
A glue gun, fabric, fabric button making kit, earring posts and earring backs, wire cutters.
I found the button kit at the fabric store for $2.50, and the earring posts and backs at the dollar store.

First, you make the buttons with the fabric of your choice. Then you use your cutters and cut off the back part of the button (that you would attach to something). After I made these I found it easier to take the back part off before you make the buttons. I did it after and ended up pulling the button apart...
 I made different sizes
I also put lace over some of the plain silver buttons, as well as over fabric covered ones.
See the tops ones?! I ended up adding something to those! You will see!
Then, just glue the earring posts on!
 And you are done!
You can make ones to match your outfits! Love this.

I made these for Valentine's Day...the kids loved them!
It was a fun Sunday afternoon craft! ( I was watching "P.S I Love You"...on tv while I was making them! :)

My Deer Head

I forgot to show you how I made our deer head in the closet. If you forget what I'm talking about...here it is..
I found this craft on Pinterest! (Where else!?)
I cut all the pieces out in foam core..and then decided to Mod Podge fabric to it..
Finally you have to cut out all the little slits.
And here is the finished product...

I love the shadow it makes on the wall when the light is on! :)

You can find a step by step tutorial HERE.
It is a little time consuming,  but definitely worth it!!!
