Well, I said I would post the big reveal this week and of course I wait until the last possible second! It STILL isn't completly finished, but only frames need to be filled, so I thought I would show you anyway...instead of making you wait any longer!!
Now, lets take a look back and remember what the room looked like before:
Before we moved in,
After we settled in.
and this is what it looked like just last week!
So are you ready for what it looks like now?!!
lovelovelovelove!
So I thought I would break it down for you
I still have to paint the nails....eek. So the bed,
I made this headboard just out of beadboard and trim
and I got these 2 frames at the thrift store for $1. They didn't have any glass or anything
I painted them up, and hung frames inside them on the wall!
For the letters inside, I just printed a font I liked off the computer and framed it!
I got this idea from Young House Love! I love their blog! They have a beautiful house and great ideas! You should check it out! The link to their frames above the bed is Here
So then we had this wall
Plain and boring before
Painted light, new shelf and frames without pictures! They are coming soon! haha
We had this before
after! love!
I painted the dresser, and the mirror to this dresser
This dresser was way to big to bring to the room, so I took the mirror and attached it to the one that was already there!
I have 3 candles (all from thriftstore) on a thrift store tray
The tall one looked like this before!
and now
I also have this chest from Mike's mom against the bed. (hope it was ok to paint it Holly!)
before
after, new knobs and all
on top sits a thrift store tray,
this old guy now painted grey,
and remember this? It got a fresh coat of white paint
Also the new frame from Ikea will hold our baby pictures printed in black and white of course!
Our new puffball fits right in!
(you will get to meet him after I finish this post)
So thats it! That is our new room. Mike is still unsure about it. But I am in love!
Sorry for keeping you waiting so long! Hope you found it worth it!!
